To be fair Audi were very good to me! when i tuned my car they were happy to pay for anything under warranty that broke as long as the modifications i had didn't cause the problem ( Very hard to prove the modifications did in a lot of instances). i was running 400BHP and my DSG gearbox went and i was 1 year out of warranty and audi still footed the bill!! One thing i loved about my dealership!
I got very lucky! haha. i do highly recommend Tunbridge Wells Audi if anyone's close!
Unfortunately
the gearbox issue was the start of me thinking.... Its time the Audi went!

Only problem when you start tuning. Mind you every vw ive had. Has had problems. Why did i pick vag again? Haha. Thats my concern. Even though i wanted dsg, i will be worried about it going haha
A good choice. The A45 is a thing of beauty and sounds amazing. I think you making a few of us jealous :-(
Other than Litchfield there is MSL. They are Specialist tuners for Mercs. Give them a look. Top guys too.

Cars are just way too addictive, be it VAG or Mercedes.... never been a bmw fan haha.

MSL performance had 1 in which they did a res delete and Weistec induction kit.

really depends on the tech. most don't scan as it takes time and time is money with techs. If you want to claim a warranty for a big ticket item then Audi can find out if they want to dig deep enough. Audi is well aware of code. I have seen an uptick in TD1 over the past 12 months. I have rarely seen an issue with tunes. The real culprit is the boy racer type who launch controls like a pubescent boy when he discovers his new play toy
I did do some more research into tech last night and found one called Renntech which is tuv approved . I also found out that the other boxes run at about 2.0 boost and renntech is 1.86 - 1.9 which is closer to the stock boost which should 1.8 . .... fact it's tuv approved and closer to stock boost whilst still giving me gains gives me a lot more confidence.

Sooo it's fast approaching and its 5 days until the new car is here ! get it on Friday and I've got @FranA3 fm detailing here on the Saturday . .. no hanging about and then first car show on the Monday followed by a load more ! unfortunately someone else has beaten me to the yellow night edition but I've stolen some pics to show you all what it's like in the flesh

Just want nice weather and I'll chuck the bbq on for the day aswell
going to kill me waiting for it be clean as I would have had it one day and straight to be cleaned haha
So the car is at the dealers and I got a call to go see it ! had all the plastics on it still and can't get it until tomorrow but wow oh wow the car looks immense .
he let me have a little rev on start up and the car is an animal !

No beans yet I can't go above 4500 rpm and not over 85 until 1200 miles
The noise is amazing! it's the angriest hatch batch ever haha
Don't you need to get the oil and filter replaced as part of the run-in process?

Wicked thread. Enough about the Merc it's interesting to see the suspension mods on the S3 by Alex Wil.
I am getting Bilstein B14s on my Audi 2.0 tfsi Quattro dsg today.
What else should I consider suspension wise? Is it worth getting ALK and what does it do? Anti Roll Bars - will they not cancel out some of the qualities of the coilovers?
Any info would be much appreciated.
