Since it was dry this weekend I decided to give the car a clean, there are some minor marks and swirls left but I will get around to removing them. I also need to get around to doing something with the alloys. The outter lip needs polishing as its had a smart repair to remove kerbing. Anyway the pictures ......

Steve - looks gorgeous but you will have to get it mapped, Clare's car (the wife) was re-flashed by the dealer last week and blimey you can really tell its back to standard - feels so sluggish in comparison to the Bluefin map, kep checking the handbrake wasn't on :)

Please no more pictures of 'Black' cars .

    I'd like to know too.
Achieving a finish like that is perfectly fine for me, if it avoids having to pay hundreds to a specialist company.
I know they'd undoubtedly pick holes in any 'amateur' job, but it looks bloody good to me.:icon_thumright:

I use Raceglaze aqua bathe to wash,

then Jeffs prime and acrylic trigger, final detailing is with Jeffs QD. Its only had 1 coat of each so the shine should get better.

Jeffs is available from polished bliss.

The wheels were clayed with megs and then 1 coat of collinite 476 and 2 coats of Poorboys wheel sealent.

    Tyres are Blackfire gel

alloy roof rails are P21 concours wax as are the door shuts.

Plastic was dressed with AG Vynil & Rubber.

I'm thinking of trying the Blackfire wax or Zymol carbon as posted in the cleaning section. There are also slightly larger pictures on detailing worlds site.

    Making notes as we speak...:icon_thumright:
With regard to the wheels, are you saying you applied the PB wheel sealant after a coat of Collinite wax?
I'd have thought other way around, so I'm mega curious.

yep, it advises you clean and polish the wheels before hand and then add 2-3 coats of the sealant.

Aaaah, so it seals the wax onto the wheels?
I thought it sealed the wheels first, then you applied the wax.
    You live and learn.
    Cheers:respekt:
