Well, finally got an S4 4.2 V8 and wow what a machine, never been so proud of a car.
after all the research I've decided to have a milltek non resonated cat back in two weeks. I was worried about the droning however I have the tiptronic gearbox and can't find any reviews on this. I will update my opinion when it's installed and tested.
if i don't like it, it's going to cost around £130 to have the resonator installed.

The blue led's are real and that bright, it gives the car that evil look, lol. I had them on my vectra for three years without any problems and passes mot's. On the s4 the side lights only come on with the hid's which just gives a tint of blue unless i turn the dial to side lights ony.

In thinking about spraying the brake calipers blue. I need to remove the calipers to do it properly.
And eventually uprate to ebc brakes and discs.

Just noticed the front bumper.....is that oem? As for the calipers, there are some members who have paiinted them while on but best drpping them of the disc for best effect.

I did some research into the history of the car before I brought it and the body kit is standard on the 4.2 as the vents on the bumper are air intakes. Not sure about the ones in the back though. I have the receipts for the car but nothing to do with body work. Would have liked a vented bonnet though 😋

Nice car, not so sure about the bumper. It looks very similar to the S4 DTM anniversary bumper. I recon someone has fiddled a bit with the bumper considering its got the cupra splitter as well which isnt factory, nor would it be carbon fibre dipped factory standard it would be real. Thou this is only on the basis of the photos. The confusing part is that the DTM S4 didnt have fog lights they have just a grill mesh like the A4 DTM. Unless the fogs were fitted which is always a possibility.

    Just saying.

Reminds me of my S4 in sprint blue :)

Just to ask, these vents you speak of on the side of the bumper is there holes in them? Because the none OE ones dont have holes in they are purely cosmetic.

It's a possibility but I'm convinced it's not an aftermarket. I have looked today and there are holes inside, and I removed the top off the intake boxes, there are tunnels leading down to the vents.

Very nice mate! Not sure on the blue LEDs tho, they look a bit tacky to me. But if you like them then that's all that matters

I was going to put white in as the sidelight but so are all the other bulbs, blue is a little different.

I think he refers to the vents on the side by the wheel arch, not the ones on the front of the bumper.
Definitely not OEM so someone's modded those as you can see the fit above them with the wing doesn't look completely flush

I now think the bumpers are a refit unless it's a special edition. Not complaining though.
Had the milltek cat back non resonated fitted today and it's great. So glad I didn't have the resonator put in. Can hear the v8 much more now, no drone on the motorway either. Under load betweek 1500 and 2000 rpm there is a drone but disappears, so only hear it when cruising at very low speed under load for a short while. Very happy.

    lovely car and colour!
    v8's sound amazing!
however, you will look like a bell end with them silly blue bulbs, attract police attention and generally let the car down!
    sort that shiz out!
    they look bobbins'!
