Hello, just wanted to introduce me & my recently bought '00 Audi S3 APY. Really got a great deal on it, even though I have to change a lot of things to her as it seems that lately nobody took too much care of this car.

Just bought for her: Haldex oil & filter, engine oil & all filters, gearbox & differentials oil, brake fluid, coolant, spark plugs, timing belt & water pump and a lot of bushes (dog mount, the 3 from the rear axle, front top mount bushes) etc.

Current Mods:
- SuperSprint muffler
- Rear windows black tinted

Still waiting for the summer and more parts. (not really in a hurry as I am not using it, just a project car)

The cloth Recaro's are rare in the UK. I like the look of them, just not sure on the pattern.
Callum.

Thanks, really need to get the car detailed.
Thinking about getting side supports in alcantara leather with red sewing. (and the steering wheel, arm rest and shifting sack\knob)

Let's get some updates!

15 July 2014: The car received a full detailing, front lip, debadged (except front grill), new headlights and all the fluids and bushes were changed.

20 September 2014: The car has a cracking noise, we concluded that a piston was broken. (sorry don't have picture with piston, i will post it later)

Thanks a lot Martin!
SuperTech Pistons 81.5mm + VMI Motorsport rods + ARP 2000 =
I hope it handles 400 - 500hp.
The ARP 2000 bolts came with a screw nut compared to the one supplied with the rods. Is the installation ok? The torque to be tightened has been respected.
Question

did the ARP bolts come with the VMI rods? or did you buy the arp bolts seperately?

I've seen 2 HUGE failures of engines using VMI rods and bolts this year. Both thought to be down to the VMI bolts, which although branded as ARP, are infact fake.

the bolts that came with the rods are NOT ARP. I bought the ARP 2000 bolts separately.
The seller told me that i should install them without screw nuts (washer) but the instruction says different: http://arpinstructions.com/instructions/200-6207.pdf

HELP!

Later edit: I couldn't find any picture with ARP 2000 and washers installed on rods and also some guys on SVTperformance says without. Let's go without! :))
