My new b6 avant progress

Yes they have been on since i got back from GTI. they were a one off.id seen some other cars.

Tbh i think my arms were all shot since i had it,just that it hit hard on the bumps, after around 8k the squeaking started.
so i replaced it all and its bang on.tight and smooth,im sure theres a joke there or 2,lol...

The B5 perches are bang on cant fault them,if i could only lower the back 10mm to level it.

I striped out the inner arches and cleaned them, and used a stone chip protector film.then sealed with wax,as id heard they go rusty.

MORE PICS

Milestones aswel lol

These are the wheels ive set my heart on.

Welcome to the 100k+ club!

Now knowing your mileage I'm quite pleased then having my arms last til 185k. Clue on mine was 6mm tread on outer, 0mm on inner...... oooops!

Currently on the search for replacement wings, so I'll be sure to beef up protection like you have once new ones are found.

Whenever i get a new car,to me.
Suspension is the 1st to give.living rural is a knightmare.25 mile round trip for the chip shop lol.

omg how terrible! you must live in an area Just eat doesn't cover, I feel for ya!

I feel mine got encouraged to a quick death by the Mrs starting a new job which involves me driving approx 30miles of country lanes a week.

I do that evertime i go out.and youve seen some of the potholes above, next time its raining ill get my wetsuit out, thats how bad it is.
Not that i like mcdonalds but its a 60 mile around trip.kids hate it lol.
But theres more pro than cons to a country life :) so you just live with it i suppose.

I'd swap a village location for mine any time. Currently got kids kicking a ball about out front.

I wouldn't mind living further from Mccy D, i might buy less of it then! pass 2 on the way to work. 3.50 for a hot breakfast or 4 quid for a cold sandwich later..... mccy d wins every time.

Thats only half i think.thats just the stuff i use for mine lol.

are those cut down paint brushes??

And what on earth is there a sponge in there for!?

Yes there great along with either a hoover or compressed air for around the dash.

Sponge is for the tyre dressing and inside the wheels. I do have some horse hair brushes in my other box.
Which is good to use with snow foam.

Ah makes sense, my dyson has a little attachment with nice long bristles on to disturb dust deep in groves before being sucked up.

Good idea on the tyre dressing, takes ages with a proper application sponge.

I loving the newest dyson cordless thing. Mrs hates me taking it outside. I put up a picture on Facebook of me hoovering the astroturf she wasn't impressed

YAY or NAY
im looking at tips for my twin exhaust bumper.
I think the blue will look cool but not quite sure on it.

I think plain will look better. I'm using Miltek tail pipes from a Golf R32 system.

Sweet i like those.
I was thinking 3.5" max slash cut rolled in how much did the rear box delete cost? You got a bigger picture my mrs has no imagination lol.
I was thinking of having the black bit painted same colour as the s4 grill?

I agree with Greeny, plain will look better. The blue will get lost in the blue of the bumper and rest of the car. I have the miltek 100mm tails on mine and they fill the cutouts well. I did have 4" slash cut ovals on before which looked good, bit like RS4's have.

Me to.
Looking around i see its a jap thing.
Have you any pictures?

This is the only one I can find showing the ovals.
Image

Its not the best to show them off. Have some pictures of the miltek ones,if you want i can post them up

I like the sound of having the bumper insert painted the same colour as the S4 grille.
Here's a couple of better pictures of the exhaust. I can't remember how much the rear box delete was, it was less than £200.

That's niiiiiiiice!
Those tips have a nice angle.
Are those factory park sensors, this is my next problem.
Ive got a whole bumper and a top piece. My current sensors are black and have a rubber piece around them. I cant find the box for my current sensors to find manufacturer.
I phoned the company who fitted them and they no longer have any records as it was ages ago.
Looks like im going to have to get a new kit and get it painted.
Is it worth a factory kit or cobra

I've been told my "factory retrofit" parking sensors will most likely be Cobra. Got a receipt for work by audi dealer.

The bumper came with the holes for parking sensors but had no sensors and my car has never had sensors with it so I just went to the breakers and got some out of a Jaguar X-Type to fill the holes, so for the moment they are just cosmetic. They are all pretty much the same size apparently.

Heres a quick clip I did a while ago of the sound with out the rear boxes.
