    Hi all.

I have been seaching for a phone holder / bracket for my A3 for a long time.
My previuse A3 had the phone cradel on the dash witch was working good.
But my new one come without this. I could not make me retro install this by drilling holes into my dash, so had to find a new solution for this.

There is a produser that makes super slick brackets that simply just clip into plases without needing any holes drilling etc. it is called Brodit.se (just to mention this)

They have a nice bracket that replace the stock ficksing plase in the dash. (in the same area)
This clips in between the radio and the dash. The bad thing is that this only fits the 2-din radio and not the RNS-E.

    See products
Brodit Audi A3 2007-2009 RHD ProClip Mount (Brodit 653990)
this is for RHD cars (I am using this)

Brodit Audi A3 2008-2010 LHD ProClip Mount (Brodit 853990)
    this is for LHD cars

I took the chance by ordering this and to see if it realy did not fit the RNS-E unit. Hoped i just was a miss print. The 2ding radio and RNS-E should have the same fixing point or? Whel I was wrong.

To have it fit the RNS-E unit i had to mill out for the fram thikknes on the RNS-E witch is 6mm on the top and 8mm on the side.
This was done by a local company. The Brodit bracket had no problems with this mod. Just cant understand why Brodit did not do it there selfs.

Under you can see picturers of the progress and result. I used the RHD bracket to get the stock location on my LHD car. For you RHD cars you would have to buy the one for the LHD.

Hope this helps some one that is after what I needed.
The phone holder is for a iPhone4 also from Brodit.

Had to trim away the rubber seal on the top of the RNS-E unit for clearance.

    Hi Ash.

    Thanks for sharing your pictures.
It is good to know that the bracket will fit when used on after marked head unit like your Pioneer.

Bear in mind that for it to work on the stock head unit RNS-E it needs the milling as explained above.

    chears.
