Hi All,

Here is the start of my Audi A3 2006 8P Build thread. I am not new to the VAG world but this is my first Audi. After breaking my fairly high spec LCR to fund a mk5 ED30 I couldn't find one I liked for a decent price so I viewed a few mk5 GTI's again none really jumped out at me. Then I viewed my Audi which I fell in love with straight away!
So far so good I love ittt!!! :)

Spec so far. It is a 2006 Audi A3 -S-Line DSG Model 2.0TFSI with all the usual Audi extras

The only thing I have changed so far Is the suspension as I didn't find the standard gave enough feel on the road, So I went for the H&R 35mm Kit which I am very happy with. I have had overly modified and played with cars in the past but with this one I aim to try and stay more OEM.

Next mods for me will be
S3 / RS4 Wingbacks
TTRS Big brake conversion
Milltek Exhaust and downpipe
S3, K04 turbo conversion
Remap.

Watch this thread :)

I went with the Eibach 35mm drop springs yours looks lower, were on a similar mod track except the seats uber expensive. I found a rs4 avant in the scrappies hidden away but the seats were long gone. saw one of the callipers and thought Vag gold went to the other side and it was missing one:blink:

Yes I was quite impressed at how it looks on the H&R's as a few mates said it wouldn't drop it much if atall but looks ok to me.
And still rides nice to be honest still rides like standard maybe a little stiffer in the corners! I will probably get coilovers in time but I keep telling myself to be sensible with this car :) We will see how long that lasts!

I Will get the carbon splitter made in a few weeks and see how it sits then, And yes the seats are stupidly priced but look awesome I am watching a set at the minute like new condition for 2K .. We shall see

When I say OEM I mean the look of the car, And where I can use genuine Audi upgrades rather then after market! :)

Here is my LCR, I spent years building and a hell of a lot of money building but in the end I just didn't have the time to keep taking it off the road to repair it! So I broke it for parts! :(

A few more pictures now its settled, I am quite happy how it sits now! :)

Debating whether or not to do the 2011 Facelift now .. But not sure if the cost is worth it..

I was going to buy a set of TTRS Brakes next month but after a friend fitted his I have realised I am limited on what wheels I can run as I know there are issues with the wheels not clearing the calliper. So I have decided for now I think I am going to go for the S3 345mm Setup..
