I thought I'd put some pics up of my A6 1.8T. The first one is how it was when I bought it and the later ones are with the addition of 19" RS6 wheels. I'm going to get car lowered and remapped eventually /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

That green looks rather nice in the photo's. You must have spent some time polishing to get that shine.

    What year is it?

Nice, although I thought it would look as though it sat lower on wheels that size, but I guess its just more rim diameter and less tyre profile.

    How wide? 8.5?

What springs did you go for?

I thought the same mate but never mind.
I think the wheels are 8" wide and I think the springs are Jamex - still haven't got them fitted though but it should give about 40mm drop which will be fine for me.
    Cheers

can u let me know what the ride is like when u get them fitted. i'm interested in dropping mine but don't know which way to go, spring with new front shocks (rear have been uprated with gas already) Coilovers @ £376 + fitting, or go for the whole hog n Airbags at £1950 fully fitted.

Sorry for this taking so long to reply to - springs are now fitted and i'm well pleased. Much better handling & road holding (less body roll) and still free from any rubbing off the wheels and that's just with the springs done on standard shocks.

A remap it is then. I'm propbably going to use Simon Coe who, i think, is an agent with CCCTechnology (www.ccctech.co.uk) who in turn are agents for Upsolute. I've been in touch with Simon a while ago (he covers the North East and Yorkshire i think) and he'll come to my home to do it all for about the £300 mark. I've only heard good reports about Simon so i'll be getting back in touch with him as soon as funds permit.
