    hi.

i've been registered on here for a few months now, and i've finally managed to find the perfect car for me. i should pick it up later this week, and i CANNOT WAIT!!!!!! i'll put pics up when i get it. its an 04 plate, 2.0tdi, 3dr, in Akoya silver with nice big 18"s on. i'm so chuffed :w00t:
There is just a couple of questions i would like to ask, so would appreciate any help people could offer me.

I want to remove the 2.0tdi badge from the back, so i just wanna double check that its safe to remove it and it doesnt leave any holes or anything.

secondly, i want to get HID's on it, so what size do i need??

    fankooooo

You'll get bored of the 18's soon eough... 19's FTW as they say in Bristol.

The badge will come off fine - just warm up so you don't scratch the paint.

I'll let somebody else answer the HID question - you may get told off by some people on here for using illegal dangerous aftermarket HID's....

I poured boiling water over the badge area to heat up the glue behind, then i used string in a swaing movement to cut through the glue and the badges came off. When removed you'll need some tar and glue remover to get rid of the residue - Then stick a S-Line badge on

would NOT recomend this, water boils at 100 degrees...

The tried and trusted way is to use a hair dryer on low heat, point at the badge from afar until warm to the touch, then use string/dental floss to 'saw' in between the badge and bodywork

As with most above, no to the S-Line badge, especially as it's a sport. I had a mate of mine (Audi technician) do my auto locking but think someone with the VAG.com thingy should be able to help you, if not, try an Audi specialist in your area and offer them a cash job to do the job, should take less than 5 mins, you can set speed locking up to unlock the car when you take the key from the ignition too, nice function.

    Hope you enjoy the car!
