    MV Sport Downpipe

MV Sport conversion that is a straight swap with your standard downpipe. This means you can rid yourself of the highly restrictive oem downpipe yet keep the oem look. Comes in at £499 which IMO aint bad. I emailed MV sport for more info:

Thank you for your enquiry regarding a downpipe for your S3 TFSi.

I can confirm that we do supply a 70mm downpipe and 100 CPSi sports cat to fit your car that you can use with the standard system. The design and components used give a considerable increase in flow and efficiency over the standard unit. When used with our tuned system we have seen gains of up to 28hp, but I don't currently have any figures for the standard system.

This is a stock item for us and the price is £499 including vat.

Emailed MV Sport to find out what they can offer discount wise

10% discount if you inform them your from audi-sport = £449 including vat.

    2 - 3 members purchasing at the same to 15% = £424.00 including vat.

Im going to be going with this downpipe, if anyone else is interested let me know and we can purchase at the same time and get the downpipe for £424.00 thats a saving of £75!

If anyone interested could let me know before 12th December thats two weeks from now. I think the best way to do this is for me to take the names of everyone looking to take part in the groupbuy and ill pass them onto MV Sport, this means we can place our orders ourselves and still get the group buy discount as they will know we are part of a group. This sound like a good idea? I will let MV Sport know if everyone is happy with this plan.

    Cheers Davie

a full TBE is normally £999.00 from them if i remember correctly, so you would be looking at £849.00 which is great value considering the milltek is over £1000. I will confirm this with MV Sport if you are interested

Have a look here for prices:

The reason i am looking to do it before xmas is because my local REVO dealer is offering a free controller with every map, the select plus is included, problem is the offer is only this year so i was hoping to get the downpipe and go stage 2 before the end of this year. If you wanna wait till after xmas you should still be able to get 15% as one of my mates is looking to get so if i pass your names onto MV they will process your discount :)

    Hi David

    Sorry about the late reply.

Yes we can do a downpipe/sports cat for the front wheel drive 2.0 TFSi. We will also do you exactly the same price/deal as the S3.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards

Took my car for revo stage 1 today so going to run stage 1 for a while then go with stage 2 and MV Sport downpipe.

I will extend the group buy till 15th January 2010

This will give everyone plenty of time to get some money gathered together after xmas. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me or post here.

That would definitely fit under my christmas tree :w00t:

Can we expect some video's soon? I would really like to hear & see the results of the stock exhaust with the downpipe fitted on a A3 2.0TFSI.

I will email them a request for a video with downpipe and stock exhaust, i would imagine it will sound similar to stock when driving normal but when your heavy with your right foot i would expect it to be similar to a full system as the airflow through the exhaust will be greatly improved as the highly restrictive OEM downpipe is removed.

    Hi Davie

That is all fine with us. Unfortunately we don't have any videos with just the downpipe fitted, But I can confirm that it does give a slightly deeper edge to the exhaust note.

Have a good Christmas and I look forward to hearing from you in the new year.

    Best Regards

    Hi Davie,

Interested in the group buy but want to hear the sound of the DP & Sport's Cat with the OEM exhaust. I do around 24000 miles a year so do not want something too boomy on the motorway.

Are you planning on posting any vids when you have the DP fitted?

    Thanks
    Muneeb

I will not be purchasing the downpipe till the 15th January when the group buy finishes. I will post video's once i have it fitted but you will not get the same discount as the group buy wil be finished by the time i have videos up. I am almost 100% sure the sound will be as OEM whilst cruising but on hard acceleration the noise will be slightly greater than OEM setup. The OEM catback will eliminate any drone or boominess that is known to occurs on certain systems as the silencer and backbox on the OEM catback will be well baffled.

I hope this answers your questions mate, £425 for the downpipe and sports cat is a VERY good price, milltek and blueflame are around £550 - 600 IIRC, The RRP of the downpipe is usually £500 and if i can get enough people interested (5+) im going to try and get posted included in the price :)

Ok cheers . Just could't see any mention for the quattro up there. You can almost count me in, need to find a good exhasut fitter in glasgow first. Also does the subframe have to be removed to fit this? And could that be a tricky job for your average exhasut fitter?

Im using Drivers in Glasgow to fit the downpipe, they quoted me £90 IIRC, the subframe does not have to be removed the prop shaft is usually removed so it does take a bit of work but nothing someone with a decent ramp cant handle. I used Drivers to REVO my car and they were spot on, when i was getting my car done there were several porches being worked and other high performance cars so i have no problems trusting them with my car.

I thought about Drivers too as I know they deal with a lot of expensive stuff..but I have asked them before to fit parts supplied by myself, such as all new shocks and springs on my last car, only to be turned down because they said they don't fit customer supplied stuff because they can't guarantee it.
I would really like to use them as that price is ok and they are really close, are you sure they aren't just doing it for you as you got Revo 1 off them and are going to get stage 2 there as well?

They didnt have a problem fitting the downpipe probably because i got them to do my REVO map right enough. No harm in asking though, i dont see why they wouldnt do it.

Everyone interested should PM their full name and a contact number with me by the 15th January and i will pass all the names onto MV Sport, when they contact MV Sport to purchase they will know you are involved in the groupbuy. MV Sport have confirmed this method is fine.
Fitting is not part of the groupbuy, this is intended only to purchase the downpipe or system.

Do you have any info on type of stainless used and warranty on the downpipe ?

Can you confirm the the DP connects straight to the OEM cat back system ie no adaptor / connector pipes ?

    Thanks
