The GTO in the States was the real killer. 'Cudas and other Mopar's were great, too, but only the Superbird could kick the ass off the GTO.

Oh my.... the good ol' days. Boy do I remember them well. I remember toasting 'maros and 'birds with my Shelby Cougar - what a sleeper!

I want to buy a GTO in a couple of years and restore it. Got a mate whos doing up a '55 Oldsmobile, proper rod style. 20" chrome rims, airbag suspension riding about 1" off the ground for normal use. cant wait for him to finish it...should be sweet! Went to a rod show last august for the weekend and was REALLY fun. Modern car shows just cant compare! The atmosphere is like nothing else at these kind of shows.
