morning. 98a6 Quattro tiptronic keeps throwing multifunction switch fault. Reset codes and dash lights up as it should. Put car into drive and d lights up into tiptronic and that lights up. Put it in reverse it has a moment and throws fault again. Can the plugs be cut off and the switch be hard wired in or is it a new switch? Thanks
