sorry didnt know were else to stick this
basicly a friend has got a golf 1.6 auto mk4.
it had a bad missfire so he got the leads and plugs changed and ws told cyl 4 plug was dry and cyl 1 was very sooty and dirty
this has resovled some what the lumpy idle and misfire on reving, but he still gets the same problem.
so i cleared he codes and hes not sure if this made the idle and revs better.
it idles ok, and then goes lumpy, but does rev freely now in a fashion, but the knock sensors are still sensing a missfire in cylder 1 and 4
hes yet to travel home today to find if the problem has been cleared
misfire on cly 1 and 4 and some time 3, and also fuel trim bank 1 system too lean
what can be at fault here? injectors, fuel pump? does this sound like a fuel delivery problem? how can i check if it is this
other then that i suggested compression but not entirely sure
unfortantly i only have the freeshare version till i gather the cash up for the real deal
