Hello folks, been here a while as the missus is an A3 owner, but never really posted.
Currently have a 1994 VW Corrado VR6, and am now (heavily) swaying towards a TT or an older S3.

The Corrado returns 28/29mpg on average. What are the TT's likely to give me?
The reason I ask is that 'official' figures are not always realistic figures.

Thanks in advance.

Put over 60k on a VR6 in 2 years, and would have had another if they hadn't stopped making them - Then had 2 S3's with similar mileage/anum. The S3, and I guess TT, gives better MPG even when driving in a spirited fasion :)

With a mix of town driving (60%) and motorway I used to get about 26mpg from my TT (APR chipped running on Optimax). On a long run it would hit 30-34mpg.

From the 56 litre tank it would be very rare to get over 280-300miles.

My tt does better mpg to my rallye. (2.9 vr6 supercharged)

The tt does late 20's as the vr6 does early to mid 20's. I tell you one thing though, the 20vt engine will sound gutless compared to the corrado!
