Quick question really:
You take your audi to specialists for servicing, for diagnostic tests etc, but do you still need to go to them for just an MOT? Will the prices for fixing stuff be slightly elevated, as with servicing compared to Johnny Garage? Is it worth it anyway to know someone who might not know what they are doing is working on your car?

ta!

Nah- I wouldn`t do it at a specialist- even the mot cost is £40+. Do mot elsewhere and get work done at specialist.

Get mine done at hlf the price at a Lorry repair place which does mot on side- They have a policy not to do any car repairs as not equipped and the owner loves my car so know its in safe hands /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

just out of interest how much do audi charge for a MOT ???? mine due in 6 weeks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I had it done at my specialists last week (it's also the easiest place to leave it whilst I am at work, so that figured into the equation!)

It passed straight through, and the MOT was £36. He said the only thing was the wiper blades could probably do with changing soon..... yay!

they set a price, then the only rule is you cannot charge any more than that price, if u want to charge less you can.

i know the std price is £42.10 but just expected audi to find a loophole and charge £60 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif gonna ring them soon and book it in.
