If you mot the car within 1 month of the MOT being due they can post date it. You will need to take along the V5 docs for the car so they have proof its not due until the end of the month though.

If it's an Audi, then take it back to you stealership to do the MOT before your 3 years is up. It's still under warranty remember, they have to fix any faults!

    Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!

The first MOT is due when the car reaches 3 years old.

The MOT is definitly 4 years here in N.Ireland. And we take our cars to government run centers that only do MOT testing and nothing else. If the car fails you have to book a retest and then take it to a garage or mechanic to get the faults fixed. My dads Golf 1.8T 180bhp is due its first MOT in September when its four years old then hopefully I'm buying it off him.;)

Definitely worth getting it done after 2years 11months. As Joe says, you get any problems fixed whilst you still have a warranty.
