So, what mods have you done to your A3 during 2007 and what do you have planned for it in 2008?

    I'll get the ball rolling:

    2007

    - S3 pedals
    - Black Audi Tax Disc holder
    - Turned on Anti-Theft/Auto Locking Door feature via VAG-COM
    - Goodyear F1 tyres all round (not so much a mod but hey lol)

2008 (i'll try and do it in order)

    - Rear S-Line/Votex Spoiler
    - Turbo-back exhaust with 200cell Sports CAT
    - Forced CAI
    - MTM Custom Remap @ QS Tuning
    - Uprated Clutch
    - Upgraded brakes (EBC/Blackdiamond - cheaper than those Brembos!)
    - New shoes (alloys). Not sure which yet...
    - New RS front end

That's it. Hopefully i'll get all that done before summer :icon_thumright:

    2007 - None

    2008 - None

I know that a lot of people enjoy carrying out mods to the cars and I have done my fair share in the past but personally, with my A3s, I prefer them just as Audi designed them.

I do tend to add quite a few options at the time of ordering but then leave the car as it is from then on. I always used to change the headlight bulbs for more light output versions but even that's not necessary with my latest A3 as I have Bi-Xenon headlamps.

The only thing I have bought for my current Sportback but have not applied yet is a transparent film to protect the rear bumper, plus of course transferring my personal plate, RoadPilot MicroGo and the cradle for my PDA from my previous A3.

I'm with you, keep 'em original plus OEM options. Don't do PP's though, prefer more options, holidays, and my memory is fine still so can remember **07 *** quite easily

As I already own the private plate, £80.00 to transfer it to the new car is a very small proportion on a £24k car and I already order it with all the options I want.

Mods in 2007: Heron Chip...( worth all the money and what a blast the car is now;-)

Mods for 2008: Some spacers for the wheels, and maybe another panel filter( pipercross or BMC) and haldex controller, otherwise I´ll keep it simple and original:icon_thumright:

All of the above a big thumbs up except the blacked out grille, but personal taste I guess.

In 2007 I had a custom retrim on the centre arm rest to add matching stitching and a double seam as per the standard H/Brake & Gear Knob gaitor.

Added winter mats Front & rear.

    Upgraded DRL & side lights.

I'm amazed I've lasted so long without a remap but the car is pretty quick oem.

    In 2008..

Possibly new alloys, favourites at the moment are 18" Diamond polished New Rs4 style. (reps)

Remap - Either Bluefin or GIAC.

Also considering a centre section retrim in silver/grey nappa to replace my embossed black oem to raise the ambience in the cabin.

I've never actually modded a car.
I've ridden many a modded bike though, which has always put me off.
It's so easy to bolt stuff on and make the thing worse.
Purely cosmetic changes are a matter of taste.
Or, as is often the case, lack of...:puke2:

I absolutley love the Z but I do a lot of miles each year (about 700 a week)so tend to turn my cars over every 12-18months.

I'm undecided at the moment, Claire wants to change her car which is the family car as well. I'll do that first and then decide if I can live with another 2 seater.

New CRV is really nice, and pretty keenly priced.
All the leather/satnav/gizmos you can handle for £28k.
    I was tempted by one.
It would suit me 70% of the time.
Trouble is, it would infuriate me for the other 30%, when I'm by myself, twisty road, summer night.
    You know what I mean?
Shocker, for me, was when I couldn't out-accelerate a diesel CRV on the local dual carriageway the other night.
Both cars have 140bhp, but the Honda ponies must be stronger ones!:whip:

I'm not going to get away that lightly I dont think. She's got her heart set on an ML in black, has got to be the sport model as she likes the grille.

I'll be putting 10mm spacers on the S3, and a remap, (Bluefin or GIAC, not decided yet)

Only other things are a Pogo alert or Snooper for the millions of fixed speed cameras, and a garage door opening sensor on the front and back, which happen to interfear with speed gun frequencies (So i'm told) which would obviously be very naughty, however, they ARE for my garage door, honestly

That should do me for a couple of years me thinks!
