MMI 3G High sat nav software update

I only ask as I'm sure I read that the update needed to be done by Audi for it to work correctly?

No you can do the update yourself, but I would never buy pirated software, everything they are selling can be downloaded from sites like gps underground.. Remember when updating the MMI system yourself you take the risk of something going wrong which can cost ££££ to fix. Not trying to scare it's more like stuff can happen....

So I have just spoken to Audi who say the update takes about 30 minutes. Total cost including 30 minutes labor is 217.00

I thought the maps took about 3 hours to update.

I recently had a sat nav and software updates by @DJAlix. It took him few hours indeed.
Latest versions and maps been uploaded and I'm happy so far with them.

Nothing changed on the software, I think, or haven't noticed anything in particular but maps are slightly better. Lane guidance been added and light redesign overall.
