Mk 1 audi tt 225 AMU Coil Pack Replacement

New to the forum and couldn't find any technical thread on what is the best price/performace replacement for my dead coil packs on my TT. And do I need the retention clips on my AMU to keep them in place or rely on the insertion pressure on the spark plug.

Please help as I've gotten lots of 'you should' with no data on which is technically better better (OEM, R8, 2.0VW, etc).
