After hearing on the news over the weekend that people's number plates are being stolen, I find my plate nicked during Saturday morning!!

Stiole it very carefully, by unscrewing it and not ripping it off, but in broad daylight!

Turns out after reporting it to the Boys in Blue, that Congestion Charge fraud and not paying at petrol stations are the main reasons why rear plates are wanted...

    God damned mutha flippers...

Mmm, but they'd sooner damage the car than damage the plate if they really want it.

Roll on the shatterable number plates that break when removed.

Congestion charge works on your front number plate.

Trouble is that's going to be a great game for the local kids to play.

My previous car was cloned for its number plates. Turned out some guy in London with a Canyon Red Golf GTi didn't want to pay congestion charges so he thought it would be a good idea for me to pay them for him.

Ok so a plate costs c£14, but it's the aggro of getting one. You now need your log book, and passport/utility bill to prove you own the vehicle and you are who you say you are, before someone will even sell you a plate.

Rubbish ! Although safer for cloners, it's caused people to steal legit ones, as it's that much easier...

Still very simple to get plates made up with no log book etc, i just had a custom set made up cost 24 quid, although they are supposed to be "show plates" they are the same in all ways, i just wanted honeycombe backing and 3D lettering, which is both legal, and passed an MOT this morning :)
