Anyone fitted or changed their mirrors on an S3, i plan on fitting a pair of RS4 mirrors tomorrow.
I have had a quick look and at a guess i have to take the door cards off to then take off what appears to be a plastic cap that covers the bolts to be able to then remove the hole mirror assembly.
If anyones done it or got any advice it would help me out, before i go pulling my S3 interior apart.

    Cheers

    Don't take the doorcards off!!!!!!!

    Fitting them is very easy.

    Just do the following:

    1. Adjust mirror so the bottom end sticks out (ie the glass is pointing skywards)

    2. Using your fingers, pull the glass GENTLY away from its holder.

    3. Disconnect the wires - mark which one goes where!!

    4. Under the mirror housing, you'll find 2 screws - remove these.

    5. You'll also find 2 or 3 more screws on the inner of the housing that attach the motor etc to the housing - remove these. They may be Torx screws so make sure you've got a set of Torx screwdivers handy!

    6. Lift the housing up, starting at the section closest to the door. Takes a while, but you'll note that some there are also some plastic connectors that have to pull away from the housing.

    7. Refitting is reverse of the above!
