    Hi
Ive got a new mirror for the drivers side - how do I fit it?
Car is a 2001 facelift S3 if that makes any difference.
    Cheers,

The actual Cap or the mirror/glass? The glass part just pulls off, just adjust it as inwards or outwards as you can, and stick your fingers in between the gap and pull firmly with even pressure to avoid cracking the glass, then there's 2 wires you need to pull off. To remove the cap, undo 2 screws at the base and remove the lower plastic cover, and the whole thing just pulls upwards, you may need a flat blade screwdriver to manipulate the clips.

Cheers, it's only glass to replace so I'll try to remove that only. Not bothered if glass breaks on way out.
Assume cover only comes off with glass out ?

Do the wires for heating need to match up a certain way?
Havent tried it yet but the replacement mirror doesnt have any colour coding and the spade connectors are the same size.

Yup, it's easier with the glass out anyways, not tried with glass in?

Nope, just plug and play, never had an issue with which wire is where, it's just 2 wires with the same color connectors.

    Took 3 minutes, cheers.
Didnt seem to make an obvious click to indicate it was fully on, but it doesnt move and is sat back into the cap per the original one, so I am happy :)
