Ok, no one will probably want to beat this, but...

I just returned from Reading to near Glasgow on one tank of fuel and that included a stoat near Heathrow.

    That's right, 437.9 miles, 58.25 litres and 34.1MPG !!!!
That's measured MPG, DIS claiming it's usual bonkers amount, about 41 or so this time.

Anyone had more than that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile_smoking.gif

But you are clearly cheating. Adding a stoat to the fuel tank is well known to reduce fuel consumption and get magical high figures. I hear that stoat fur is a very good fuel additive, although you'll need to watch your filters.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Of course, you should have added a weasel, because that mod is even more covert and would have gotten you over 550miles.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

    Thats amazing Mark!!

Mark, how did you get the stoat into the fuel tank? Was it ground-down into powdered form?

Also, does it help if the stoat has been given a drink of millers before hand?

Al, you are one of those underhand cheating types too! A Millers marinated stoat, ground down. No wonder you car went so quickly at Buxton.... It's just not cricket!

I got from Essex to Newquay (350 miles) on two thirds of a tank and 37mpg. Needed the right foot of an angel to get such economy!

On the way home I used well over a tank. Ran into a few BMW and Sti Scoobs then the red mist takes over! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Doesn't everyone carry ground stoat with them?

That's the trick Veracocha, keeping it for a full tank. I'm certain it would have been higher had I not been sitting in Birminghams car park for 2 hours, otherwise known as the M5/M6 junction.

Now, where did I put that lead foot!!!
