It been a while and finally found some spare time to create a thread for my 2004 50k mile A4 1.9tdi sport with GMBH kit in akoya silver and really happy to be back in an Audi as my last one was an S3 about 9 years ago, but been in VW's in between.

Very nice, I would personally remove the S-Line badges though as it's technically not one ;-)

My remote is from an S4 with the immobiliser chip from my plastic emergency key. Got my mate to cut a blade and then sync'd the new key with vagcom. Works a treat as long as the 8E0 key part number is used.

B5 perches in spring otherwise staying as it is due to family.

This reverse rake thing really cheeses me off, I have a sport and I've read about using the b5 pearches, Why not just lower the front more thasn the back by using springs?? Far less hasstle

Same hassle really as the spring has to come off but the b5 perches are cheap and also give the 15mm drop I want for the front like most.

Insurance friendly too in my eyes :)

I've also read about a 'pinch bolt' that can be a right PITA!

As said, adding the perches when doing the springs adds about 5 minutes to the job, literally. The old spring has to come out and the perch is just sat there, ready to be tapped off and the new one slid on.

And yeah, the pinch bolts are generally a proper pita, especially in good old england where the salt has corroded them over the years.

mjmallia, your car looks great! Loving what you have done to it. Shame there were no interior pics though

    Thanks all for the comments.

The 4D carbon is really realistic..........not perfect but 80-90% there in my opinion when compared to some of the real stuff I have in the garage.

I really need to lower the front on B5 perches..........just don't have the damn time LOL

Cheers. They are one of the nice simple mods I like a lot......that and the luggage hook and net.

They are two strips of 48 LEDs folded and mounted/glued on a plastic base plate.........I then zip tied them neatly on the boot ceiling in parallel and connected to the original boot light, of which with all the others have been converted to LEDs also.

    EDIT: Here are the items:

The boot light is something I thought was missing on the saloon as it is quite deep. They work a treat and look OEM as quite hidden in the ceiling due to the recess unless you make an effort to find them.

No. I bought those separately and cut the holes to allow them to slot through the carpet and line up with the mount holes/nuts already on car floor.
