Problem with my exhaust me thinks...........
When I start the engine I get a rattle which sounds like rattling tin cans, it also occurs if the engine is in low revs. Its seems to come from the exhaust just under the drivers seat. I've had a quick look but can't see anything loose down there?

Any of you guys/girls have a clue what it could be?

Cheers and Merry Christmas!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dancing.gif

Could be a loose heat shield on the exhaust. Go into a garage like Kwik Fit or something and if it is the heat shield they'll just rip it off!

I had a horrible metallic scrape/rattle ages back, which I could reproduce by giving the exhaust a shove at the tail-end.
Couldn't see any problems, but it sounded nasty, and made me tense up every time I went over a bump. Turned out the middle box needed replacing, and once done (about 100 quid I think? [with audi dealer]), it sounded fine again.
