Metal Valves (Tyres)

    Seeing as i have 4 tyres to replace is it worth me purchasing metal valves ? Is there any real advantage ? I noticed you can get ones that are flush with the wheels.

    if your talking flush fit valves, i did this recently.... advantage, dont think so, BUT i do prefer them, looks alot neater

    You are on about alloy valve caps, I think he means the actual valve.

    Flush valves are just for looks, you need an extra tool to remove the alloy cap, then you screw the valve bit on to pump the tyre up right?, waste of time really...

    Metal valves just means you can re-use them, where as the rubber ones usually need replacing everytime you change a tyre.

    yeah the flush valves become a pain in the tits i had them on my mr2 - Personally i wouldnt bother with metal valves as the rubber ones cost buttons anyway.
