Hi guys and girls,

Please can someone help me out. I am in the process of replacing the master cylinder on my S3 8l (AMK), but cant seem to remove it from inside the car.
Do I need to access it from the engine bay to release the clip? If so what do I need to remove? Turbo inlet pipe, and what about the heat shield?

I have used lots of links and searches to guides, but none of them seem accurate to the S3, or am doing something wrong, or not remove it properly!?

thanks,

J

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the reply, mechanic friend managed to get the clutch master cylinder done. Fiddly annoying job!

Takes about 2-3 hours for future reference, if no previous experience of the car is had. We had to remove the silver pipe that connects to the turbo and pull away the heat shield to get to it. If there was an easy way, we couldn't see it :(
