Hi guys I have had massive paint chip on my front bumper and got some touch up paint to repair it. I think it's an OK job and alot less noticeable but I would like to know if anyone has some ttips for flatenning it off and making the new paint match a little more. Shall I use a super fine wet and dry paper and then polish the hell out of it?
See pics attached of before and after.
Thanks

Flat sanding would be the best for this, previously I've used wet & dry sandpaper on the end of a flat object such as a flat head screwdriver approx 5mm wide so the sanding is controlled & isolated.

Soak the paper in soapy water and just take you're time go nice and slow and slowly knock of the bump so it's flat and level with the existing paint. I then use lighter grade sandpaper to blend in to the existing paint working as little an area as possible and then work back the grades of sandpaper usually use 1500/2000 to flatten the bump, then work back to 4000. I then use the 4000 cloth disc with polish. Then work back from a cutting polish to a nice finishing polish.

Take time use little pressure as this reduces the severity of sanding marks.
