I cant believe it but I scuffed one of my alloy's and have only had the car for 13 days! Made the mistake of going into the worst car park in Watford :banghead:

Anyone have on any suggestions on where I can get it repaired or is it not worth it? Its not major but frustrating as that's all I look at now. I went to Halfords for a quote and they weren't able to help me.

A friend of mine scuffed a 19" alloy on a nearly new Ford and the dealer's standard repair charge was £50 which didn't seem too bad.

I had the same issue, the S Line alloy wheel is diamond cut and requires a specialist turning machine ( or so I was told ) I was quoted around £150 but I had alloy wheel insurance included as part of my deal so never had to pay for the repair. The dealership sent my wheel to www.perfectiongroup.net and took around 2 weeks ( they gave me a curtsey car so wasn’t too bad ) I would recommend calling your dealer to see if they have a fully size wheel you can borrow. Really happy with the repair!

There is an alloy refurb centre on the A10 at Cheshunt , which is not a million miles away from you (only 200 yards from me) Not sure how good they are but would go to a specialit rather than somewhere like Halfords who would only sub contract anyway.

I recently had to have the two front 18" polished alloy's on my MkVI Golf refurbished prior to selling. Used Wicked Wheels who came to pick up the wheels from the vehicle and returned then within a week, (left the vehicle on axle stands in the interim). As the standard A3 S-Line alloys are polished, (from my understanding) it's unlikely any mobile repairer could do the job on-site as polished wheels need a different process to refurbing than standard alloys, (which would typically only need sanding down, filling and painting).

Luckily I didn't need the vehicle for that week so wasn't an issue having the wheels sent off. They did a top job - wheels came back looking as-new.

Mobile Alloy Wheel Refurbishment and Mobile Alloy Wheel Repair - Welcome to Wicked Wheels

Paid £110 or so per wheel, (London price I guess...)

Thank you everyone for the options, I think I will contact the dealer initially and take it from there, would like to get it sorted as soon as possible really.

SLINEA3V -I didn't realise there was an option for wheel insurance, was this through Audi?

    Hi NewAudiOwner,

I did the same thing after about the same amount of time, was so annoyed with myself!!! I took it to Pristine alloys in Woburn (Alloy Wheel Repair Experts, Alloy Refurbishment)

They did an absolutely fantastic job, i had buggered it pretty bad and it cost about £90, they do a proper job of it and their attention to detail is very good indeed, you would have no idea i'd ever scuffed it. Cannot reccomend enough!

If you go on 'Why choose Pristine?' on their site and read through it'll give you an idea!

    Hope that helps.

Not in your area so can't recommend anywhere but I have had a few alloys refurbed in the past (previous owners apart from one) and I sometimes get involved with our company cars....£50 a corner.

I recall the alloy I scraped being on my beloved 1st Golf Gti...(17's which were HUGE back then)..the first day I put them on!...went back to the garage the next day who then told me I also had a nail in 2 tyres (which were only 2 days old!)...was a Jim Carey type fist to the sky and "thankyooooou" (though Bruce Almighty hadn't been released then....I should have trademarked that...I would have been less poor now)

but I do recommend you repairing it....as every time you wash that alloy you will cry into the bucket of suds...which will only cool the water and then where will you be!
