Grumpy Old Man has suggested Sanspeed in Bexleyheath for my service and i wondered if anybody had used them in the past.

Bexley Audi is quoting £500:faint: for service (62,500mls), MOT, Haldex oil change and Sidelight bulb (can't be ***** removing the battery to get to it!). I went in to Sanspeed today and they quoted £275-£300. The place appeared professional with lots of Scooby tuning gear etc (but also Saxo, Corsa etc???).

My car has only ever been Dealer serviced but at 7 years old i know it won't affect resale much but will they do as good a job on the required maintenance?

    What would you do?

Why do you need to move the battery to get to the sidelight?

Must be a facelift headlight thing, as I can access them with battery in situ.

Had a quick look as i thought even for a numpty like me that changing a bulb can't be hard. You take off a plastic cover to access a plastic backing plate behind the light assembly. The backing plate fouls the battery box that is screwed down. The Audi dealer said it is possible to change the bulb without removing the battery but i reckon you would need the hands of an 8 year old child to do it

I'd admit it's tight, but on my car, you just unclip the back cover and give it a wriggle so you can rotate it 90 degrees to get access to the sidelight bulbs. I have noticed the sidelights are on the outside of the lamp, as opposed to the inside on my pre-facelift, so maybe I'm talking ******.

Up to you I have had both good and bad dealings with both Bexley Audi and Sanspeed.

7 years old - you'd be mad to go main dealer.
I went with a VAG specialist the minute my 3 year warranties ran out on both Audi's. In the last 4 years I estimate a saving of over £3k (20k miles per year on both cars)
