Lunar Silver leather seats - are they hard to keep clean?

So, I am looking at my options for ordering an S3 and the spec I want.

I'm thinking 3dr in Sepang Blue, chrome grill and window surrounds with the chrome/silver mirrors and the S-line alloys which are polished. I think that would really set the exterior off. Interior I am seriously considering the Lunar Silver leather and headliner with the rest in black. I think the contrast with exterior and interior would look superb (I've seen some RS4's with this combo and they look great).

However my concern is how easy is the Lunar Silver to live with and keep looking good. I have an image of me out walking and it rains heavily, I get in the car with soaking wet jeans and it stains the leather. Is that likely?

Does anyone here have this interior and how has it held up? I plan to have the car at least two years.

I have had my car about 5 months now and they still look great.
Bearing in mind I am not an oily mechanic or a coal miner!

I treated them with leather feed stuff when I first got the car, but haven't done anything since and just treat them like any other seats (dark jeans etc).
I don't even think about it now.

I posted some pics up on here somewhere. I will try and dig it out.

    Go for it!

Get your new car detailed. If done properly they can use a leather protector that will stop dye transfer to the seats.

    Where are you based?

Had silver leather down the centre of my seats in my old TTS BE - staid very clean and was easy to clean when they weren't - just used autoglym leather cleaner if they ever got marked.

Go for the silver leather. Makes the interior a bit more special. Not that I'm biased or anything... ;)

PhilA4, I had the same thoughts and have gone Sepang/Lunar Silver (albeit a Sportback) and it my decision was heavily influenced by an RS4 with the same colour combo.

I can't comment on the durability/keeping clean as I don't have my car yet :crying:

I think it's going to be worth the extra effort to keep them clean and have a classy cabin. I've already got Autoglym leather cleaner in the garage (used when owning a beige leather interior X5, and a red leather interior Boxster)

I was a little bit tempted but the 2 tone dash is kinda off putting

100% the way forward, i have them and so pleased with the result!!

It definitely makes the interior a much lighter place.

The A3 has the lower part (below the inlays) colour matched to the leather. I quite liked the look of it in the brown, but from what I can gather that combination is pretty rare.

IIRC that combination has a pic in the brochure
