Lumpy Lupo

I have posted this on VW section as well but as this forum is busier I thought I would try here as well. I don't suppose that fault is limited to VWs'.

Hi All,

Quick question re my wifes Lupo. It is a T reg 1.4 Auto and has done about 25,000 miles. Recently it has developed a lumpy tickover when Drive engaged, at traffic lights etc. It does not stall but even so it is irritating. In Neutral all settles down.
You can feel the problem as a drag on the gearbox!

Any ideas anyone.

Might be one of two things, either a faulty coolant sensor or a faulty lamda sensor, not sure if the lupo has either but my old used to do the same thing while in idle.
