agree with Funkycat, but some people like to hear the noise of a V6 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Only problem with LPG is that you loose your spare wheel, as that is the tank.
Another problem is that its a space saver and the LPG tank is very small /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Unless you go putting a tank in allready a small boot, theres no option.

  5. A neighbour has an imported 2004 Mitsubishi L200 pickup, 3.0 V6 with an LPG tank etc.. Hes very happy with it but there is definately a reduction in power when running on lpg.. not enormous but definately noticable, so he switches to unleaded when hes in a rush and uses the LPG mainly for motorway cruising.. still saves him a packet!

Slight alternative, no use for petrol engines, but another friend of mine has been running his turbodiesel people mover (Toyota) on cooking oil for quite some while now..

Every 4th tankful is normal diesel to keep everything clean..

He reckons even with the duty its working out at half the cost of diesel, and having been in it, it certainly seems to drive and run fine..

But, somehow.. I aint gonna try it!!!

Another disadvantage to LPG is that you cannot use Euro Tunnel.
