Are the lowering springs the same on all front wheel drive A4 B5's?

A mate has some 40mm lowering springs off a B5 1.8t will they be ok on my B5 2.4 V6?

    Thanks

Depending on brand they'll most likely have different spring rates.

Thought they might, the rear ones would probably be ok is it just the weight of the front end that would be an issue on the v6 compared to the 1.8?

i think you may find that it will be lower than 40mm due to the weight difference on the front the rears should be fine

fk told me that the the springs they list for quattro (as they only list one set) would lower the 1.8 by approx 30-35mm and the 2.8 by 35-40mm (it lowered mine by about 37mm lower than the sport springs i already had on)

i know yours is fwd but would just just give you and idea/guide to how the weight difference will effect the ride height
