Lowering my A3 Sport

Hi people hope I can find some information here. I'm thinking of lowering the a3 to give it that nice stance. I am not after any expensive coilover kits as I doubt I'd make full use out of them. I'm not a particular fast/hard driver although I do enjoy the odd spirited drive home on the country lanes.
The car in question is a 2005 A3 3door 2.0 TDI. Are there any manufactures of springs to avoid. And what ideal drop am I looking at without taking chunks off the underneath of my car.

i would say get some sline springs there 20 mm lower than the se i think and the sports are 10mm lower than se
