Hi all,

Is a product like this worth investigating?

Lower Intercooler Pipe - 1.8T

I'm thinking of going to my local Powerflow guy and asking him to throw something like that together for me, as I won't be going the FMIC route anytime soon, was just wondering how helpful it could really be? There seems to be a sensor on the top portion of mine, haven't looked closely enough to see if it's plumbed into the pipe, but what would that be if it is one?

You have an S3 don't you? thats to replace the pancake pipe on A3's

<tuffty/>, is this not the pipe that exits the intercooler and runs behind the drivers side headlight and ends up in the intake manifold (via a silicone pipe?)

I had a quick look, and they seemed similar so I just assumed it was the same thing.

No mate, as tuffty says it replaces the pancake pipe on a3s etc

there is no need to replace the pipe you are on about as it isnt restrictive,(unless yours is damaged of course) plus like you saw, it houses the boost pressure sensor.... or map sensor

No mate.... thats the MAP sensor tube you are thinking about... the pipe in the link doesn't have the MAP sensor boss in it either....
