Today i changed the coolant senser on the tdi, and a pipe i was meaning too for a while now.
While coolant was empty i started the car to help with airlocks as i filled it, and noticed the coolant low warning didnt come up.

I recently fitted a full dis dash, so not sure if something isnt right with it.

Any ideas what fails here? Id have thought fail would trigger the light?

Probably still had water in the block, and as you filled it up it replenished it so it never had a chance to sense the low coolant level.

    That'd be my guess.

the coolant low sender is in the header tank and was empty. I know it worked previously as it went off the last time i lost water.
