im guessing not, and as my current maf reading is showing around 180bhp then theres defo a problem somewhere.... this noise started after fitting my v3 manifold and downpipe but not straight after!? when i come on boost i get the whhhoossssshhhhhhhhht noise which stays all teh time on full boost and its very loud, sounds like a skyline at full chat but obviously its not... i have no codes now, anyone know what i could log to determine an airleak, everything i cat get too ive checked bottom intercooler pipes, turbo elbow ect... could a small pipe make a massive noise?

surely if my downpipe or mani/turbo nuts had come loose it would be obviously an exhaust blow noise and all the time?

theres lots of oil in my pipes but ive put that down to slightly over filling when i refitted the turbo, i was thinking it had blown it out of the crank case breather/ pcv(is that what it is?)?

spec is in my signiture and car is in my garage, apy s3...

My money is on the relentless manifold having burnt a hole in the orange pipe coming off the turbo to the top charge pipe...

    Got a heatshield in there?

no heatshiel but no hole changed back to the orange pipe today to eliminate the aftermarket blue one i had there which was a poor fit turbo side, also no damage to the blue one... with the oily intercooler pipes you'd think any leaks would be very obvious... not so, the passenger intercooler lower connection i had off due to oily residue and refitted with new clips... still the same, drivers side looked good..

think i need to have a good look tomorrow, are the hard plastic ones likely to split? or the metal one?

    can i log anything dude?

I am currently going through the same thing since v3 manifold and dp fitted. It was fine for first few weeks...

The engine sounds a lot louder from manifold and slight ticking when cold so I'm placing my money on bolts expanding and blowing past the gasket on the turbo.

I can also hear my diverter valve dumping louder, almost asif the tip isn't fully on the turbo and creating a massive suction noise within the bay on lag, then a loud wooosh scream on boost. Doesn't help with aload of exhaust leaks I have already though lol.

I'm sorting it all out next weekend so I will update with findings.

I don't have vcds though so can't log anything, just know that it doesn't feel right. Major power loss/flatness again - very noticeable....last time the dyno proved power loss at 180bhp, no good for a stage 1 mapped bam s3 tbh.

I'm actually glad it isn't just mine tbh lol

I have a few new bits to put on like b5 tip, top charge hose, turbosmart dv, s2000 filter.

Going to get new gaskets again just incase they have popped.

right, just replaced the brass 14mm nuts with some chunky steel 17mm lockers. i also skimmed a bit of each washer thus making 1/4 of the washer thinner, so they clear the weld on the manifold and sit nice and flush... done all this without undoing the driveshaft this time, probably would've been easier and maybe quicker if i did? had to drop the downpipe tho and the turbo bracket.... still not 100% on that awful one under the manifold, if it does undo again (which im pretty sure it will), then it will be going to my pals garage... had enough now! either that or i'll just refit th standard mani and smash the v3 up with an axe!-)

top nut you linked is wrong pitch thread btw

I have used normal stainless nut and nordlock previously.. not come undone.
used exhaust stud for the stud.. but key bit I did them turbo up to the manifold on the bench where you can Properly tighten the hidden fixing.. which is pretty muc impossible to do on the car to as tight

    good luck
