Give the car a good flush with a 50/50 mix of old oil and diesel run it up to temp preferrably drive it then drop oil and change oil & filter get the 'bigger' oil filter as well. I run the K&N HP-3001 on my 3rd one now as i did it last week never had trouble with them !!

Could it possibly be the purge valve on top of the airbox that's ticking away? They can be quite loud at times.

Pick up is blocked get that sump off asap id be putting a new pump in whilst the sump is off rather than just cleaning the pick up !!!

As i said away back at the start, have you checked the pressure?

The fact the lights come on means you havent, and understand that light means "STOP DRIVING NOW". If you've continued to drive it around knowing theres an oil pressure issue, you run a very high risk of scrapping the engine or the turbo or both.
