    Hi Guys,

    I have a slight issue with my A3, I changed both rear wheel bearings a few months ago, infact all 4 were changed, BUT it has more or less 2 new bearing on the rear..yet..when I have people sit in the back I get the same deep droning noise as if the bearings are away again. The noise is slightly there when it's just me driving but certainly hear it when I have a full car. I changed the rear brakes also and swapped the bearings round to see if I had one faulty one..but noise is still there...very annoying! What else could this be...because there isn't much to narrow down to except the bearings AGAIN...but surely 2 cant be away. And its 100% the back as its always louder when people sit in the back....HELP

    p.s sorry for the huge story, only way I could explain lol

    Thanks :)

    id change the front wheels to the rear and see if its the same.Ive had similar and it cured it...still dont know why but must have been a wheel with a fault or requiring way to much weight to balance

    I had a similar problem.
    cause= according the demon tweeks
    the rear tyres were extremely over inflated past 50psi
    which damages the tyre.
    so when pressure was reduced to 32psi the drone started.
    cure=i put good set of tyres on the rear.
    have you bought or do you buy second hand tyres whose
    history you have no pyor knowledge.

    I put a pair of Enduro budget tyres on my Passat, and they sounded like an aeroplane taking off then I hit 35-40mph, which is the speed I use the most almost! Thought it was wheel bearings, since my car had covered almost 200k miles, but after 1500 miles, I got a puncture on my rear, so swopped the pair to Nankang NSII's, drone went instantly!

    Still have a spare almost new Enduro in my garage! lol
