Go to an Audi/vw dealer ask nicely if they can use their locking wheel nut set to find out which ones yours an order a new one. My local vw dealer also quoted me a cheaper price. Man I hate Parklands lol

I lost my locking wheel nut and got a garage to remove them and I supplied new locknuts and it wasn't much around £20.00 this was about 5 years ago and it was a backstreet garage!

s3dave. not sure what type, the key slots into the nut by about half inch or a bit less. mine are the same as my wifes and the cars are 2001 and 2002, both facelifted 8ls. Not confident enough to do this myself so will have to seek help from a pro.

Thanks guys for replies, but keep them coming.

Your Wife has lost her locking wheel nut key as well then?

Obviously i dont know what sort of area you live but if your on an estate then somebody else with an A3 might be happy to lend you their locking wheel nut key (even if they stand over and watch you do it), depends how trusting the area is

any wheel/tyre garage will get them off with a locking wheel nut removal tool for a tenner or so. or go to halfords and buy one for less than £20. personally i don't bother with locking wheel nuts. alloys just aren't worth what they used to be so people don't nick them as much.

Big Sigh Of Relief.......Iv found it, it was round the back of the house where i had the front wheel off about 7 days ago, it had been kicked away some distance from where i had looked half a dozen times.

Thanks for all who posted with suggestions etc.
