loss of power!

Hi guys. I'm having a problem with loss of power. I was driving home and turbo was working fine then I pulled up to a roundabout and as I pulled off had no power in any gear as if the turbo wouldn't kick in. This problem continued during the rest of the journey so I have no pull at all. Any ideas as to what it could be? No loud noise so I'm hoping turbo hasn't blown completely. If it's linked, I've also had my coolant light come on a few times but with no visual evidence of a drop in coolant level. The engine is a 2.0tdi 140bhp in a 2007 a3.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also not sure as to whether to keep driving to work etc and risk further damage. No lights came on the dash when I lost the power

I'm hoping it's just a frayed pipe or a wee hole somewhere however I've done a bit of reading through forums and there is potential for the leak to be from a cracked head gasket from what I gather but I'm going to get it looked at professionally this week.
