Hi Everyone

So my car seems to have developed anti lag ha ha.

Full throttle it feels like im hitting a brick was anything 4k rpm onwards, miss fires and pops and bangs through the exhaust.

Codes :
16684 Random Missfire detected
16685 Cyl 1 Missfire detected.

Tried a new coil pack in cyl 1 and still no good.
Find under partial throttle, only happens under load.
Spark plugs NGKBKR7EIX brand new 2k miles ago.

When I unplug the MAF it drives much better.

Do I try a new MAF? Unfortunatley I cant try a known working one as all the lads I know with 1.8T have ko3 based turbos and have a smaller MAF.

This car will be the end of me.

Thanks in advance.

Scotty

You can try the sensor if your car is wideband and the K03 cars are wideband too... the AMK/BAM MAF sensor is the same as AUM A3's... its just the MAF tube thats a different size

You will need a 5 point TS25 bit to remove it though or some have modded a flat blade screwdriver by filing a slot in the centre of the blade

The fuel pump is Brand new OEM last year. Could be under stress though? Mybe an inline fuel pump needed?
I unplugged the MAF and it drove much better, I would say about 80-90%

Bump anyone able to help?
Unplugged the MAF and seems much better but don't want to drive around with it unplugged

Fluctuating idle, hitting a brick wall at 5k RPM sound like symptoms of a bad MAF?

New MAF today, Missfire sorted and no more bogging down or feeling like I've hit a brick wall at high RPM.
Just I case anyone reads this thread in future it may help
