Well i'm excited anyway!
Ooooh nice, Im getting a decat pipe for my TDI next week too.
Apparently the lower parts is the high flow turbo down pipe!
Nice 1 m8, i had a full milltek on my
Golf, real quality piece of kit,
Next on the cards is a bumper annnnnd a map
This is just the start m8 once the moddin
Bug bites, it never ends lol
Tell me about it, im 22 (23 on friday) and this is my 4th car! 1.2 Corsa C, 1.9 CDTi Astra, Type R and now my A3!
What kind of car is this for?
2.0 TDi 140
Ah right, well if theres someone looking to nick one they know where to come.
thats gonna look cool get pics up soon
do your self a favour cover you post code up cos dont advertise where you live
nice bit of kit
i hope that was not aimed at scousers lol we would sooner nick a 550bhp s3
no it wasnt. but then again who ha ever heard of a bi-turbo S3. would be a long way to come to be dissapointed
i was just wondering when buying a Milltek Non Resonated Exhaust on a 2.0 TDI, It comes with
Front Silencer Replacement Pipe
Rear Connecting Pipe
If you also get the de-cat down pipe, will there be any problems Eg MOTs, Fuel, faults etc, as the cat is being removed? Confused
Nope no faults since there's no sensor in the cat like there is in petrols. A cat for MOT its not a requirnment for diesels so you will be fine.
PS it sounds great, i just got a de-cat pipe on mine, changed nothing else.
Awesome, thank you for that. Didn't want to fail a MOT by having no cat.
But would more smoke/fumes be visibly noticeable without a cat, or should that not matter?
I want one But there isnt one for the quattro
Im sure most exhaust places will be able to sort you out with a custom one, all they will need to do is cut the cat off and put a pipe in its place, doesn't hurt to ask.
As for the smoke, its not a problem, mine doesn't smoke any more than normal (dont really notice it somoking anyway).
what are the benefits of the new pipe as ive never heard of this b4? and get a sound clip up so i can hear the noise brrroooooommmmmmm
It lets the turbo spool up faster because there isn't as much restrictions and sounds good too ill try and get a clip over the weekend if no one else puts one up.
Must be a glasgow thing! I'm still 21 and on my 5th now!
Would also like to see a video clip of what this sounds like
how much did it cost?
how much did it cost and how hard is it to fit, ive been told that diesels sound **** with pipes on is this true? do you get more noise from turbo blow off as well?
Here's a video of mine, it was a cold start. Dont know if you can here it well but to the end of the video is what it sounds like with the turbo spool up.
Oh and my Decat pipe cost £110 and it was very easy to fit, just undo some bolts.
holy **** roman youre car looks damn low, thanks for the video cant watch it yet will have to see it tomorrow, where did you buy the pipe from?
I wish it was lower, it's on standard suspension
I got it off ebay, had to play around with the fittment a bit, and the two poles that stick out ( i think thats the techinical term ) didnt fully line up with the holes to hold up the exhaust. I still got it connected up fine. But it may have been better to get the exhaust place to fit it, but its been fine for me. Its just a few pipes welded together so im sure most places could do it for you, maybe even just cut the cat out and weld a pipe in its place on the current exhaust piping as the size is pretty much the same.
SEAT LEON 2.0 TDI DECAT, also GOLF MK5,A3,and OCTAVIA on eBay (end time 02-Dec-10 10:53:19 GMT)
hey like the noise reALLY THROATY noise
Thanks, and I would definetly reccomend getting a decat if you can.
