My 225 is mapped to roughly 270. I get 26mpg average and that is mostly round the town. I can get 35 on long runs. I think its quite good for the output.

Remapping definately improves mpg on longer runs.

    mine's a 1.8T 225 remapped too
gives better performance when required, and better mpg

town/city driving - i do North to South Bristol for work and average 28mpg for work.

    long runs 35+mpg
best i've seen on several long motorway runs ie Bristol to Guildford and Bristol to Oswestry, averaged 40mpg!!!

brought the wife's standard 225bhp in for an mot this morning,
    roughly a 20 mile drive.

averaged 27mpg and I was driving like a nun, not sure what you would get on a longer run.

usual day for car - wife drops kids at school in town, and goes to her work about 12 miles in all and is getting 26mpg

    cheers
