I'm looking at this later,
Audi A6 4.2 Quattro S Line 4dr Tip Auto

What should I be looking out for and what is the difference between a limited edition and the S-line?

looks like traditional stock S Line albeit with no. of extras fitted... check with the owner but I guess limited maybe a personal perception and it should rather bear the name unique or individual considering extras it has etc (it could even be that it was a demo vehicle).

personally I had always struggled with very large petrols from Audi/BMW from the point of view if you want anything more than 3L go for S6 or even RS... yes the price diff./cost to own/maintain is higher but equally is on 4.2. In my opinion, 4.2 in C6 range is unnecessary addition - heavy V8, relatively old engine (stems from A8) and 3.2 is much more refined although it is V6... think of it but if I had the choice and financial backing I would rather opt for S6 (or at the other end of the scale 3.2 petrol or 3L TDI).

The only thing limited about that car is the fuel econ..... Other than that it looks like a very we'll spec'd A6
