So here's GOLDEN/PRECIOUS information for ALL A3 owners, especially those of the hands-on variety...

In my post-box yesterday morning was a link to the AUDI RS3 SPORTBACK, but following that I found this:

    AUDI A3/S3/SPORTBACK/QU. [A3] (EUROPE) 1997-...

Within ARE links to illustrated parts lists for the Audi A3, S3, etc, 1997 to date, go check... :readit:

And as it's ALL FREELY available information...

I WILL, no worries: I just love the smaller Audi, and audi-sport.net... :applaus:

However, have now posted this data base on the A3/S3, TT, and RS3; I'll do the A2 later: and we've had each and everyone of 'em, the A2's a GREAT car.

PLEASE feel free to post elsewhere 'kwistof' as it's a GREAT source of information freely given to me and shared.

PM sent, Sandra. This is a GREAT reference link for ALL Audi owners, others too. A STICKY in each section would be great, for all; what do you think?

I've found it doesn't list parts and part numbers that are clearly labelled in the exploded diagrams. E.g. Cam position sensor

ETKA is like this mate... the diagrams sometimes have parts on there but won't carry the part numbers as they are either discontinued or out of context... you have think like the crazy germans..

This page with the sensor shown doesn't have the part number listed...
    http://www.partsbase.org/audi/audi-...2001-10350-cylinder-head-cylinder-head-cover/

This page however which is in Electrics and ignition related does...
    http://www.partsbase.org/audi/audi-...n-lead-spark-plug-glow-plug/#p-aud-058905161b

Logically the sensor is an electrical part and its to do with ignition... its not part of the engine... its crazy and very frustrating when trying to find a part number but you just have to apply a bit of logic and the above kinda makes sense... to the germans... :)
