Going to look at one of these to add to the collection.

How much should I be looking at for an early decent model.

Have you thought of Getting a BMW instead?

*Sorry mate, its my silly sense of humour. People will know where im coming from :) *

Have you got a spec in mind, as in what extras you would like?

The biggies cost wise are:

Bucket seats
TV nav
GSM bluetooth.
Auto wipers/lights

Some smaller ones are, folding mirrors, ipod prep etc.

Just the basics, car, engines and seats. :) I don't like BMW's btw. :)

I really like the S3. Sylish, quick and compact.

It will run along side the Alfa. :)

Reason I ask is becasue if you wanted the seats and DVD nav. Theres going to be a hike in the cost of the car as theyre both £2k options each. If your not bothered then the price will be less :)

if your running it along side summat else I wouldnt bother with the buckets or the dvd

Is it going to be your main drive? If so i'd go easy on the options and just get a very tidy un-modified example.
As long as it's been well looked after you can't go far wrong.... Lovely car.

Sorry, but the bucket seats are compulsory!

Seriosuly, they really make the interior feel special, without them it'll just feel like any other A3. Not only that but they are very comfy and great round the bendy bits!

Do you mean early model as in earlier than a 56 plate?

If so its the pre facelift version you are on about which is well different in price and specs....

My back does slide about a tad in the Std seats when going for it.:crying:

Maybe a upgrade in the future.

Nah, not really, I recon quite classy, basically the same as the RS4 seats.

Yep, they do look really nice. The thing that put me off was the thought of taking a customer out for lunch in them. I would feel like a Vauxhall Nova chav with a set of aftermarket seats.

Upside for Buckets.
Look very cool.
Extra Supportive

Downsides for Buckets
Getting in and out of them.
Restricted access to rear.
Even 2nd hand cars will carry a premium for Buckets.

I actually didnt prioritise buckets because I use the rear seats and personaly find the std seats excellent so you wont exactly be `missing out` if you car aint got them.

BUT, if your a bloke, and dont use the back seats, raid the piggy bank and get a car with them fitted! They look the ********.

Flat Bottom, MFSW and Bluetooth prep are a must !

Happy shopping, its a great car.

Cheers
Paul

buckets are a must have!!! There is nothing chav about them when you are cornering!!!!

Flat bottom again a nice touch

This is probably the closest a chav will ever come to an AUDI bucket seat. Unless they start to fit them in the back of cop cars.
