    Hi guys,

My friend has lost his wheel locking key for his 2007 VW Passat.

He has phoned VW and they no longer sell the 'keys' and will only sell him a brand new set for £70+VAT!

How can he find out what key number/type he requires? Will any of the option codes decipher this info or would VW just pick and choose when the car was manufactured and not log which number was used to the chassis vin?

    Cheers,

    Dan

You could go to VW and get them to just remove the nuts, then just get a used set off ebay.
