Lock the car with key and drivers door opens again!!

Not long had my 96 B5 and everytime I lock the car from the drivers door the button pops back up and activates the central locking opening every door. I dont have a remote fob just standard key in lock job. It locks fine from the passenger door and boot.

Any ideas?

sounds like its the switch in the drivers door that operates the central locking has failed,(or a spring has snapped in the catch). from what i remember its built into the catch its all one big unit not too hard to change
